Breaking News - Cost Reconciliation Certifications have been sent to CT school districts

Posted by Pam Katz, CompuClaim on Sat, Feb 06, 2016

Cost reconciliation and settlement figures have been calculated for our school districts and were sent out by DSS on Friday, February 5, 2016.

These amounts are based on each districts individual cost report submissions for the 2013-2014 school year.

Districts will notice these amounts have drastically been reduced based on the following reasons:

  • This is the first calculation year in which the new Parental Consent requirements/regulations have an impact on the Medicaid Penetration Rate (MPR) for the district.
  • This is the first full calculation year in which the interim payment rates for the CT SBCH program were used in determining the formula.
  • Most districts saw an increase in their monthly claiming for the school year.

Parental consent is crucial to the success of your Medicaid program. Failure to obtain consents will impact cost reconciliation and direct claiming.

Connecticut Cost Reconciliation 2011-2012 Checks have been Mailed

Posted by Pam Katz, CompuClaim on Thu, Jun 26, 2014

Connecticut districts the wait is over!

Reconciliation checks for the 2011-2012 cost reports were mailed this afternoon, June 26, 2014. Districts have been advised that checks were accidently placed in envelopes with the incorrect return address for DCF and not DSS.

Of importance for districts to be aware of is that the checks were mailed to the address on the checks and may be received by another department in your district. Please make sure to contact all departments that the CT School Based Child Health Program has issued the district's reconciliation check and this should be brought to the attention of the Medicaid office.

If you do not receive your checks within the next few days make sure all department personnel have been contacted and then contact DSS.
