Cost reconciliation and settlement figures have been calculated for our school districts and we are prepared to share with you the amount of your reconciliation checks. Checks are based on each districts individual cost report submissions for the 2010-2011 school year.
For the past two weeks DSS has been calculating formulas to determine the actual amount of reconciliation due to your district. Guidance from CMS and the Craig J. Lubitski consulting firm who conducted your district desk reviews have been instrumental to help determine these final calculations.
These settlement amounts will aid our clients in helping finalize their budgets for Medicaid reimbursement for the new school year.
Within the next week you will receive notification from DSS and will be provided with specific instructions to complete the process.
We are expecting the following documentation requests from DSS and want to make sure you are prepared to follow all instructions which will aid in the processing of your district reconciliation check.
-
A copy of your district cost report that was submitted for 2010-2011will be provided.
-
A copy of your 2010-2011 cost report that was submitted to the Lubitski consulting firm with notes regarding their findings.
-
A certification page to be signed by the district will be sent.
-
A settlement sign off page will need to be signed by the district. We expect that this will include your settlement amount due to your school district.
Please inform appropriate staff to be looking for any notification from DSS to ensure that all requested documentation be completed. This will aid in your actual check being mailed.
To all our valued clients we will continue to keep you well informed as to all updates and are available to answer all your questions. We anticipate many changes to the SBCH program in the near future and will continue providing you with our customer support that you have come to rely on.
The key to your district's success is based on trust and teaming relationships. We will continue to work together to help you reach your full Medicaid reimbursement potential.
