Breaking News - Cost Reconciliation Certifications have been sent to CT school districts

Posted by Pam Katz, CompuClaim on Sat, Feb 06, 2016

Cost reconciliation and settlement figures have been calculated for our school districts and were sent out by DSS on Friday, February 5, 2016.

These amounts are based on each districts individual cost report submissions for the 2013-2014 school year.

Districts will notice these amounts have drastically been reduced based on the following reasons:

  • This is the first calculation year in which the new Parental Consent requirements/regulations have an impact on the Medicaid Penetration Rate (MPR) for the district.
  • This is the first full calculation year in which the interim payment rates for the CT SBCH program were used in determining the formula.
  • Most districts saw an increase in their monthly claiming for the school year.

Parental consent is crucial to the success of your Medicaid program. Failure to obtain consents will impact cost reconciliation and direct claiming.
