Connecticut school districts began their New Year with the arrival of Quarter 3 Random Moment Time Studies (RMTS).
For the next 3 months, district staff will be alerted by UMASS (school based claiming) if they have in fact been chosen for this simple and quick response to specific questions that should take about 1 minute of their time.
Districts were recently issued their compliance reports which outlined their specific results pertaining to their cost pool groups.
Congratulations Connecticut districts on completing your first successful quarter as you met the 85% State wide compliance results.
Districts were able to review their individual results and for many districts they met their compliance
goals.
If your district received under 85% compliance please note that you will receive a warning notification from DSS. This notification is your warning to make sure that all staff selected are complying with their responsibilities to complete their moments and to make sure they follow all guidelines issued in maintaining documentation for validation of their time. Failure to meet compliance can affect your reimbursement revenue
Remember this is a moment in time and your moments can be requested several times within a particular quarter. You may be selected multiple times within each quarter which is outlined below.
Quarter 2 - October, November and December
Quarter 3 - January, February, and March
Quarter 4 - April, May and June
In order for districts to be assured that their reimbursement revenue is not affected they need to make sure staff follow all requests to complete their moments in the time allowed. Staff will be notified through their email and will be instructed on the date they need to complete their RMTS. All staff will have 2 business days to complete their moments.
RMTS coordinators will be alerted to staff who have not completed their moments. If there are changes to your staff during any quarter please make sure to complete a Change of Status form issued by UMASS.
As part of your enrollment agreement it is the district's responsibility to follow all directives regarding RMTS. Check out tips on RMTS for your district management.
