Beginning January 1, 2014 the current Speech Evaluation code 92506 is no longer being used and has been replaced by four new codes. States across the country are being notified by their Medicaid agencies and are preparing their providers for the newest change to their school-based Medicaid programs.
Code changes and fee schedules to your program can only be made if you are officially notified by your State agency.
Many of our speech providers are asking for assistance in deciphering the new codes that best
meet the services they are providing to their students. Remember each State may have their own requirements and rules to follow so it is always best to check with your Medicaid office for specific directions.
CompuClaim offers best practices and guidance for all your questions and is providing you with links to specific State rules and regulations that can assist you. For our Connecticut and Michigan clients we are providing you with the latest code changes and descriptions to make your transition simple to follow.
Our CompuClaim team works closely with our clients and are fortunate to have the privilege of recognizing the efforts of incredible support staff for our districts who continue every day to make their Medicaid programs so successful.
We welcome your input and invite you to share tips that enhance your program and help your providers learn about school-based Medicaid in your school districts. Jennifer Douyard from New Britain Pubilc Schools in Connecticut shares a time tracker for Speech providers.
